What I Ate Wednesday

July 11, 2012

Is it only Wednesday? Oy. Is it bad I always just crave the weekend? I just love Saturday. Sleep in a bit, my favorite workout classes, sunshine, balconies, blah blah. Oh well, I DID have some great eats this week for my What I Ate Wednesday - FITNESS edition!

I start every morning with my GNC Pro-Sculpt delicious drink. I just finally bought the new flavor - BLUE RASPBERRY.

I love this flavor! This is a great workout booster!

After morning fasted cardio, I got straight to my favorite meal ever- BREAKFAST. I was seriously craving waffles this week (I asked for a waffle maker for my birthday so I am hoping to make my own super soon!!).

I found a great gluten free brand - with a tiny list of ingredients and made with CHIA and QUINOA - this was just screaming my name.

Look at this deliciousness!!

Heaven is an understatement. I topped two waffles with 1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese, 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, and sprinkles of chocolate PB2 and chocolate covered goji berries. Gosh I am legit salivating just looking at this now. I WANT THIS EVERYDAY. You do have to watch sodium in frozen foods - this wasn’t too bad - but I do want to start making my own - with protein in them as well!!

For my mid-morning snack, I had some of my super duper protein muffins. I made them with a few fresh LOCAL raspberries this time, and the tartness is just unbeatable!

For lunch, I had one of my lovely lunch boxes! I am going to do a post this week of all my lunch boxes I’ve been having. A little play on what Starbucks does!

This was delicious.

Not shown is my Ezekiel Tortilla! This was all wrapped up to make a delicious wrap!

Shrimpies grilled in my salt free fiesta citrus seasoning, greek yogurt mixed with the same seasoning to make a zesty “mayo”, and 1/4 of a beautiful avocado packed into my wrap. And of course a delicious side salad dressed in EVOO and rice vinegar.

For my afternoon snack and PRE FITNESS pump, a go to for me - BROWN RICE CAKES with 1 tbsp freshly ground almond butter and 1/4 cup fat free cottage cheese mixed with PB2. Gosh I want this all day everyday! I love rice cakes. They are so versatile, 35 calories each, and a great energy booster filled with good carbs (GET THE BROWN RICE VERSION). And of course, opt for the no sodium version. Mother’s is a great brand!

After my workout, I had my new Cookie and Cream Protein Blizzard. I can’t stop making this!!

Dinner is still in the works in my brain - what should I make tonight?
